Summer Student Placement Program

The Summer Student Placement Program at WellFort offers a hands-on experience for students invested in public health and social change. In a diverse, interdisciplinary environment, successful applicants will be required to complete a 12 week placement surrounding a health promotion or protection activity. Each year, the staff will update this web platform with potential projects that students may become a part of and lead. Application Deadline for 2017: The deadline for applications is Friday, January 20th, 2017.

Call for Interviews will take place in February 2017 with the notification of successful applicants between February – March 2017.

This Year’s Program Portfolio for Students;:

  • One Project from DEP
  • One Project from Bloom
  • One Project from the Community Team
  • One Project in Primary Care

Position descriptions, prerequisites (academic and project specific skills) will be outlined for each of the aforementioned projects. Simply utilize the link above to get a more detailed account of the project.


  • Contribute to and inform innovative community health programming in a well-known organization within the region of Peel.
